Terms and Conditions of Booking
Your deposit (upon receipt) will confirm your booking. This will ensure no other client will be able to book your selected date. Because of this – the deposit is NON REFUNDABLE
The balance must be paid within 14 days of the booking. Failure to do this will render the booking invalid and the selected date will become available again.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will NOT receive a refund. It is recommended therefore that you take out some form of insurance when booking in case of cancellation.
If for any reason Matt Vinyl , Vocal Harum or The Passengers cannot fulfill their obligation to attend the event then as much notice as possible will be given and a full refund will be made. This would only happen in extreme circumstances such as illness etc.
Matt Vinyl , Vocal Harum and The Passengers are covered by Public Liability Insurance for up to £2 Million. A copy of the insurance certificate is available upon request.
It is the client's responsibility to ensure that the venue can supply safe electrical power points. We will not perform at venues where electrical equipment appears faulty.
It is the clients responsibility to ensure that guests behave in a responsible manner at all events. In the event whereby guests become rowdy and the vocalist or any band member are abused in any way – we will suspend the event immediately. If bad behaviour continues we reserve the right to end the entertainment and there would be NO REFUND.
If entertainment fails due to the malfunction of any of our equipment we will endeavour to repair the problem as quickly as possible. In the event that is not possible we will refund payment to clients on a pro rata basis. There will be a back up system available for solo performances and an acoustic set can be deployed for band events if agreed in lieu. Any time without scheduled music will be refunded on a pro rata basis.
Matt Vinyl / Vocal Harum / The Passengers will ensure that sufficient setting up time is given at each function. If , however, the space provided is insufficient then it may take longer to arrange. You should ensure that the venue can accommodate the number of musicians attending.
Insurance regulations mean that sadly we cannot allow any members of the public to use our equipment for singing UNLESS the Karaoke version of the package is selected.
If the client or any of the guests damage our equipment we would expect full payment for repair or replacement.
It is the clients responsibility to ensure that the selected venue has the appropriate public entertainment licence or that a temporary licence is obtained for the event.
Normal performance times run between 7pm and Midnight. If time beyond midnight is required this can be arranged by mutual consent and extra payment on the night. Christmas and New Year Events will attract a different levy which would be agreed by negotiation.
Matt Vinyl / Vocal Harum / The Passengers will always endeavour to deliver value for money. Should technical breakdowns occur we will endeavour to provide continued entertainment. If however the problem is caused by the venue then you should look to claiming from them should this not be possible.
This contract is a mutual contract. Please keep a copy for your records. If you do not agree to its terms and conditions then we will not be able to take your booking. Only when you cannot agree to the terms should you write and inform us and enclose your contract copy. Non return of the contract will indicate that you are happy to proceed.
