A BIG THANK YOU
A Big thank you goes out to everyone t hat made the Usk Castle gig such a success on Saturday 20th September.
A very healthy and respectful crowd witnessed superb performances by The Passengers, Stormus and Ethan Scott. Despite the dampness descending on the instruments and the ground getting rather dewey later on - an enjoyable time was had in this wonderful setting.
The Passengers introduced their first "own composition" with a rousing rendition of Very Nice Girl ( R Kubiak) to add to another "original" on the night sung by Maya Birchall Haslett of Stormus.
The Passengers delivered a variety of songs stepping through the decades with hits from the 60s like Paint It Black, rock classics like Hey Joe and Dont Fear The Reaper ,Pop Hits such as Down Under, Here Comes The Rain Again and Message in A Bottle as well as a collection of Stranglers and Eurythmics numbers.
Stormus entertained the crowd with a very pleasant and well delivered set of Folk, Celtic and Traditiona Irish music including Amy McDonalds classic This is The Life.
Ethan Scott gave an energetic and excellently delivered set of classic songs - including Valerie, Shine and Brown Eyed Girl.
All in all - an excellent days weather, a thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable show and a happy (if a little cold later at night) audience that also enjoyed the excellent bar facilities set up by Sian and Sal !! Well done to Rosie at the castle for preparing such a stunning venue (so many positive comments) and a big thank you to ;
